The House that Jack (Pidcock) Built, Cathy Pidcock Thomas, 2007
This report focuses on the findings of the Historic Structures Report that relate to John Pidcock’s era. It combines them with evidence from written records and DNA to give Cathy’s over view and interpretation of the data about the house. The report contains photos of evidence mentioned in the report and copies of key maps and surveys. This material is also contained in }Construction of the Dwelling on John Pidcock’s land” and “Photos of Architectural Features”.

Construction of the Dwelling on John Pidcock’s land “, Cathy Pidcock Thomas.
This synopsis of the Historic Structures Report (HSR) attempts to combine all the historical and scientific data to tell a single consistent and logical story about the evolution of the house. When the HSR offers several alternative interpretations, one is picked or an alternate based on other evidence offered. The material is discussed from a Pidcock perspective. The HSR is quoted extensively supplemented by extensive Pidcock research. Many of the footnotes are requests for clarification, or completeness in this publicly funded research document. This paper contains an architectural glossary assembled to understand the HSR and a guide to Land Records posted on the web the Pennsylvania Historical Society.

These pictures illustrate features mentioned in the HSR and offer a glimpse of normally inaccessible parts of the house. The unit “B” (central section) cellar is full of duct work and wiring and is totally unlit.
