50th Reunion, August 18, 1962

Durham boats & 18th century recipes

A selection of 18th century recipes from a cook book John Moore found in an antique shop were included with the invitation. The Reunion was held in the John Glover Pavilion, down by the Delaware. From 3-4 pm Ray Fresella organized games for young and old. The 4 pm Business meeting featured a lecture by John L. Moore on the use of Durham boats in the Delaware Valley. Catharine Pidcock presented supplemental material on Col. John Glover’s use of Durham boats in the Battle of Trenton, December 26, 1776.

Family Picnic supper followed and included results from the old recipes.
