Dr. Moser addressed the Pidcock family and spoke about his great, great grandfather who was a Hessian and fought in the battle of Trenton. He arrived in New York August 12, 1776. It had been a 4 month trip. He was captured and brought back to Newtown PA on Christmas night. As a prisoner, he was paraded through Philadelphia the next day. He was finally sent to Lancaster, PA. Later he was put on a ship headed to Canada. The ship ran into a storm and was blown off course to the Delaware Bay area where he was recaptured. |
